Jefferson Locksmith was founded to prove that licensed, professional locksmith service could be the norm, not the exception.
Our founder started in this trade in 2015 as a technician for a large locksmith corporation. Over those years, he saw the same pattern repeat: operators without proper licensing underbidding legitimate businesses, cutting corners on hardware, and leaving customers with problems that cost more to fix than the original job.
Pennsylvania does not require locksmiths to hold a state-issued license. That gap lets unqualified operators advertise freely. The solution was not to complain about the industry. It was to build something better.

2015
Began working as a field technician for a large locksmith corporation. Learned the trade from the ground up and saw the industry's structural problems firsthand.
2019
Founded Jefferson Locksmith with one van, a PA HIC license, and a commitment to professional standards the industry was not enforcing on its own.
